Experience

I’ve spent around 15 years working on developer products and developer experience, including Amazon Alexa, Mashery/Intel, Retool, and now DigitalOcean, where I work on developer education and experience around cloud and AI products. Through Curious Mints, I’ve also worked with developer-focused companies including AssemblyAI, LaunchDarkly, WRITER, Oso, and DNSimple.

Developer Experience Review

See your product through a new developer’s eyes.

I go through your developer experience from the beginning: understanding what the product does, creating an account, getting credentials, navigating the docs, following the quickstart, and getting something working.

The result is an actionable report showing where developers get stuck, what’s working, and what I’d change.

Agent Experience Review

Can a coding agent figure out how to use your product?

More developers are building with coding agents alongside them. That creates a different kind of developer experience.

I test whether an agent can discover your product, understand how it works, get credentials, authenticate, navigate your documentation, build something useful, and recover when things go wrong.

The result is a practical look at where your product works well for agents, and where the experience breaks down.

Focused DX Work

Sometimes you don’t need an audit.

I also work with teams on specific developer experience problems: onboarding, quickstarts, documentation, examples, SDKs, developer tooling, and developer education.

For some teams, I stay involved as a DX advisor while they work through these problems over time.
